“Advertising is fundamentally persuasion, and persuasion happens to be not a science, but an art.” ~ Bill Bernbach

I finally got around to scanning my old, hard-copy portfolio into a digital format. Herein are the “persuasions” I developed, and though dated, are still worth sharing to convey my strategic communications expertise.

My favorite boss and mentor was like a real-life Dan Draper (from Mad Men), having won 200 awards while working at BBDO in the 60’s (Bill Bernbach’s NYC agency). But I haven’t worked in an ad agency since 1990.  I have and still do create advertising on a freelance basis, but the bulk of my work today is helping fiction writers hone their manuscripts and craft “strategic” query letters that get  their foot in the proverbial door to authorship.

I love my work. It’s all Storytelling to me, a suspension of disbelief.

If you’re here, it’s because you wanted to see examples of my work as a copywriter and strategic marketing analyst. These are campaigns that I conceptualized and wrote, all geared to resolve specific client needs during my time in agencies and as a freelancer: 1980-1990

Look around, please also check the “Publishing” category as that entailed a huge amount of project management. If you like what you see, to begin a discussion about how I can help you identify and create your own effective communications, please email me at abmonfort@yahoo.com

And thanks!
